First release of dropdown menu widget is ready. The plugin allows you to add CSS based high quality drop down menus. It supports multiple instances. You can create your pages menu or categories menu so easily with this plugin. You don’t have have to write any code, plus it comes with 5 beautiful themes.
In order to use this widget you need a wordpress theme with a widget area on the header. You can download the first release of dropdown menu widget here.

Plugin looks like it will be great, but I the style is not applying to my widget.
The Dropdown widget is showing up in header div, but no style is being applied. I’ve tried changing the style themes, but none are being applied. Any ideas?
Figured out what was going on…
After installing the plugin, your plugin folder is: “dropdown-menu-widget”
But the plug in then tries to call the .css file through wp-content/plugins/shailan.DropDownMenu/themes/simple.css”
I renamed the plugin folder to “shailan.DropDownMenu” and the style has been applied.

This plugin is great, will be perfect if we are able to choose landscape or portrait menu.

It mixed-up my theme. Footer went left, and part went up. I like the idea however of prefigured menu-themes. I will follow your dev closely.

Hey Karl,
I added the option for the Home tab now. You can easily add/remove home tab link from the widget options. If you are using template tag you can set up template tag options from the Dropdown Menu options page.

I just updated from 1.2.6 to 1.2.7 and now I can’t see the home button, even though I have the show home option checked. Other than that, I love this menu! Thanks for your hard work.
When I add the widget, the dropdown menu overlaps the other widgets
